"Anything in life that we don't accept will simply make trouble for us until we make peace with it."       — Shakti Gawain

I have a deep respect for individuals and families who are willing to seek out assistance when faced with challenges in their lives. It is a privilege to be able to support clients in the process of self-discovery, and the continued development of insight into their lives and relationships.

I strive to establish and maintain an environment of mutual honesty, trust, and respect where these personal processes can occur. I have worked with adults and children from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, with a wide variety of concerns.

I use an eclectic array of techniques and therapeutic modalities in my counseling practice as I work with individuals to tackle the problems they are facing. I help people who are depressed to feel optimistic and confident again; people with anxiety to feel more relaxed and comfortable. I help those in intimate relationships learn to communicate more effectively, forge compromises, and learn to appreciate the best in one another. I help abuse survivors come to terms with what happened to them, heal through the pain, and live well on the other side of it. I teach principles of strong, healthy self esteem that carry over into all other areas and aspects of life.
