It is my belief that individuals are the best experts on their own lives. I see my role as a support and guide on the path to positive change. My approach to working with clients is collaborative and strengths-based, with emphasis on the internal and external resources that people already have access to. Individuals are viewed in the context of the larger system, and the central role that personal and family relationships play in influencing behavior is acknowledged and addressed.
Clients are encouraged to set their own goals for therapy and be active participants in their treatment. I collaboratively consider what a successful outcome would look like to the client, what has been tried in the past, and how an individual’s thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and experiences influence their current situation.
My experience is that providing a safe and caring environment allows people the opportunity to reach deep inside themselves in order to access their own innate wisdom. The foundation of a trusting therapeutic relationship, in combination with counseling, psychoeducation, and unconditional support allow these personal processes to unfold and blossom.

Child/Family

I have a deep respect for individuals and families who are willing to seek out assistance when faced with challenges in their lives. I believe that there are many ways to instill hope and create change, and tailor my therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each client.

I assist people in identifying what they want from life, from themselves and their relationships, and then work with them to create a personal plan to achieve their goals. I take time to build a safe and trusting relationship with my clients, so I can help children be children, and families grow strong.

Perinatal

The experience of giving birth presents women with a tremendous opportunity for personal growth. It is essential that women have access to resources and information about birthing, allowing for exploration and mindful preparation.

The birthing year is also a time of transition for the entire family. Addressing the changes that a new baby will bring allows family members to come closer together in an open, caring, and respectful way.

I help create a secure and healthy beginning by supporting women and families to birth, parent, and connect to themselves and each other with intention and awareness.
