"The most powerful thing you can do to change the world is to change your own beliefs about the nature of life, people, and reality to something more positive. . .and begin to act accordingly."

** Please note I will be on hiatus from teaching HypnoBirthing classes for the remainder of the 2020 calendar year **

Chrysalis Counseling Services PLLC is the independently operated private therapy practice of Juliana K. Tyler, located in Old Town Mukilteo. I welcome the opportunity to speak with you, and discuss how my services can best meet your needs.

I am available to schedule appointments Monday-Thursday, typically between 10 am and 5 pm, depending on the day. Please contact me for information on available appointment times. As my practice runs quite full, scheduling flexibility is usually required for new clients seeking services.

You may reach me in any of the following ways:

By Phone

206.604.0996

I check my voice messages once daily Monday-Thursday, and do my best to return all calls within 2 - 3 business days. Occasionally technology fails, and a voice mail message left on the system does not reach me. If you are in crisis, the safest option is to always call the 24-hour crisis line at 425.258.4357, or, in life-threatening situations, dial 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room for care.

In order to protect your confidentiality, I do not exchange text messages with clients. Please do not be offended if you try to contact me by text and I do not respond.

By Email

I check email Monday -Thursday and do my best to return all communications within 2 - 3 business days. Email can be used for administrative matters, such as scheduling, but, due to the inability to guarantee the confidentiality of email communications, it should not be used for clinical consultation or other matters of a highly personal nature. Make sure to add this address to the Safe Senders List of your email program to ensure proper delivery of a response. Please always include your contact phone number in your email communication, even if you think that I already have it. If an email message of a personal nature is received, it will be addressed through a return phone call, as opposed to through an email response. Despite my best efforts, I am not always able to check email daily during the work week, and do not check it on the weekends. Messages of an urgent or time sensitive nature should never be left by email.

By Fax

Please note that I no longer utilize fax service in my practice.

Please note that I am in the process of temporarily transitioning my practice to a Telemental Health Services platform to meet the emerging needs in the community. As a result, I will, for an undefined period of time, have very limited access to retrieving postal mail, so please do not use this method of contact for anything of a time sensitive nature.

Social Media and Networking

Therapy is most effective when it is conducted within the context of a safe relationship, and in an environment that includes clear boundaries. Protecting your confidentiality is of utmost importance to me. As a matter of policy, I do not connect with clients on social or professional networking sites such as Facebook or LinkedIn. Please don't be offended if your request to connect goes without acknowledgment or is declined.

In the Event of an Emergency

Chrysalis Counseling Services PLLC is considered to be an outpatient facility, and as such is set up to accommodate individuals who are relatively safe and resourceful. As such, emergency services are not provided. Please be aware as a sole outpatient provider I am not required to return calls or emails outside of posted business hours, on weekends, vacations, or holidays. If you are having a mental health emergency, do not wait for communication back from me, as I might not receive it in a timely manner, but do one of the following:
  • Call 911
  • Go to the emergency room of your choice
  • Call the local crisis line at 425.258.4357
  • Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800.273.8255

Requests for Information

Requests for documents, records, or other materials are always responded to in the order in which they are received. While I do my best to process requests as soon as I am able, please understand I am a sole practitioner with no support staff, and therefore I find the typical turnaround time for such requests is 3-5 weeks. There may be additional delays at the current time due to the developing situation in our local community, and the resulting constraints this has put on regular practice procedures.

Directions
